Box Office Live

Privacy Policy

Last updated 8 November 2026

This policy covers the Box Office Live website (box-office.live and its subdomains), the customer area of the site, and the Box Office Live demonstrations we set up for venues considering the platform. "Box Office Live", "we" and "us" mean the business offering the Box Office Live platform.

What we collect

Visiting the website. The public pages do not ask for personal information and use no advertising or analytics trackers. Our hosting provider (Google Cloud) keeps standard request logs — IP address, browser, page requested and time — for security and troubleshooting.

Contacting us. If you email us, we keep your message, your name and email address, and anything you choose to tell us, so we can reply and follow up about Box Office Live.

Customer area. Customers sign in with credentials we issue; a signed session cookie keeps you signed in.

Demonstrations. A demonstration is a separate copy of the platform loaded with sample data for one venue. People we invite to manage a demonstration sign in with Google; Google shares their name, email address and profile picture with us, and we use them only to let them in. Only the email addresses we have listed for that demonstration can sign in. Demonstrations send no email or text messages and take no real payments; any test purchase uses payment-provider test mode, and any names or addresses typed into it are kept only in that demonstration.

Cookies

We use only the cookies the site needs to work: the session cookie for the customer area and for demonstration sign-in, and preference cookies that remember display choices. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

How we use information

To run and secure the website and demonstrations, to reply to you, and to discuss Box Office Live with your organization. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Who we share it with

Only the service providers that run the site and demonstrations for us — Google Cloud for hosting and Google for sign-in — and anyone the law requires us to share with. They handle it under their own privacy terms.

How long we keep it

Demonstration data, including sign-in records, is deleted when the demonstration is retired. Email correspondence is kept while we are discussing Box Office Live with you and for a reasonable period after. Hosting logs are kept for the provider's standard retention period.

Ticket buyers on a live box office

When a venue runs its box office on Box Office Live, the venue decides what information it collects from ticket buyers and is responsible for it under its own privacy policy. We process that information only to run the platform for the venue. Questions about a ticket purchase should go to the venue.

Your choices

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or ask us to stop contacting you. Email privacy@box-office.live and we will respond within 30 days.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update it here and change the date above.
